Because guess what ? .... I have been there. I have suffered and I’ve been frustrated.
When I started, it was hard ...
I was always trying to develop myself. I was unsatisfied with my sccisors work. I have seen how the best barbers on YouTube use the geometrical knowledge to create sections that ended up in amazing final haircut shapes.
I struggled with my fades. I wanted to do it quicker and create that perfect clean effect.
To overcome these problems I have watched every YouTube tutorial I found, but as the tutorials on YouTube are slightly incomplete, I had to try it live on my clients. At the beginning I did it wrong, but I tried again and again until I was happy with my results. In that time the live workshops industry wasn’t too developed, so I had no options but to “steal” what I saw on YouTube and practice it on my own. That was a good thing.
I have developed my skills but it took me a very long time.
After a while I noticed that my skills are good and that I finally have control and understanding on every technique I use, however at that point I was upset with my social media accounts. I always wanted to become a trainer, but for that I knew that it’s crucial to be on top on social media.
I had to get attention and my work exposed to more people.
But I didn’t know how. I was frustated saying to myself “why my haircuts do not get attention?”
I knew and felt that my haircuts are good but still didn’t understand why I’m not there - on the top!
That was the moment when I realised that MODERN BARBERING is not just a clean fade or having control over advanced knowledges.
These are in fact just the foundations, but I realised that in order to be on top I had to create amazing haircuts and learn how to give them value through professional photos, learn how to edit them, how to promote myself on social media, how to use Facebook Ads ... in other words how to become a COMPLEX barber.
So after that, I learned how to shoot professional photos for my haircuts, how to use the lights and camera to enhance their quality.
And lately I learnt how to “sell” them. I learnt how to pay for advertising in order to get more clients in my area and built my personal brand by gaining targeted followers that wanted to see more of my works.

Once I started to develop my skills, I automatically started to gain more engagement to my posts.
I took control over my abilities instead of making excuses of why I am not successful.
And guess what, my professional life changed.
I gained a lot of new customers, I’ve started having people asking to learn from me and I have been called by barbershop owners from other cities to run workshops for their team members.

My name is Cosmin Campean and I am 26 years old.
I am Hair Design Specialist, I own the Elite Barbershop & Academy with 4 locations in 2 different cities and currently have 18 people in my team.
I have 9 years of experience as a barber. For 4 years now I’ve started my mission as a trainer and helped over 200 people step to the next level on my courses and workshops.
Last year me and my team built one of the greatest barber shows in Europe with over 200 people as an audience.
